Have you bought anything you loved lately? In the PEOPLE StyleWatch offices, the answer to that question is usually “Yes.” This week, we found a pair of sunnies that go with whatever outfit you’re wearing, and took advantage of some major shoe sales.

Brittany Talarico, Associate Style Editor: I recently lost my favorite classic Ray-Ban aviators (they were actually my fiancé’s, which he generously passed on to me, so it really stung). After weeks of holding out hope that they might turn up, I decided it was time to look for a replacement pair. Immediately, I gravitated toward a similar aviator style. This time, however, I went for a metallic tortoise frame. The flecks of gold felt fresh, and I like the way they complement my hair color. Plus, just to make sure they were keepers, I took a few selfies, as any proactive shopper would.

Kelli Berglund, actress and star of Disney XD series Lab Rats: During my shopping trips, I always love to splurge on one item that I simply cannot live without. I did exactly that with a pair of beautiful Vince Camuto strappy booties. They can dress up jeans and a t-shirt or even dress down a simple cocktail dress. I love that they’re so unique, and I can wear them during any season. The cutouts and black leather keep them sophisticated yet playful, and they’re surprisingly so comfy! I always love for my shoes to have a little bit of height (since I’m not the tallest girl ever), and these shoes give me just the right amount without looking too formal.

Catherine Kast, Writer/Reporter: I’ve been dying for the celeb-loved Nudist sandal by Stuart Weitzman, but it’s been hard for me to succumb to the heel height (4.5-in.) and the price (up to $625). Luckily, Net-A-Porter (I feel like they always have my back over there) was having a clearance sale, and I got these two-tone leather heels for basically a quarter of their original price tag. Sure they’re not a solid basic, but the black and white graphic pattern can hold its own as a statement shoe against a little white summer dress or a monochrome work outfit. It also has helped me upgrade my print-mixing game, standing out against my other summer staple: patterned shorts like the leopard-and-ikat ones I always wear by the shorts experts at Sea. With this awesome buy, I was able to hack two items off of my fashion bucket list for this season: high-heeled sandals with skinny ankle straps, and anything by Proenza Schouler. (P.S.: These have since sold out at Net-a-Porter, but you can shop them for 50% off here!)
