First of all ,you get to pick from a huge variety of the the most sought-after denim fabrics from around the world (the Japanese denim is killer). You then pick the basic design you prefer, like low riders, classic, drain pipe, etc. etc., and then a tailor measures you up and cuts a pattern just for you. The great thing is that going forward you can just call up the store and order a new bespoke pair as they keep your design on file, unless of course you lost some weight running away from all those hands trying to grab a feel of your new jeans … !

Kathleen Rose Perkins, star of Episodes and Gone Girl: I’m fortunate that I get to do a lot of traveling for work that I wouldn’t have the time or the money to afford otherwise. And travel to me means shopping. There’s nothing better than getting a really cool, locally made, can’t get anywhere else shoe or piece of clothing in any given destination I find myself. On one hand, it supports local artists and designers, and on the other more selfish hand, I get to feel special with a hard-to-get, no-one-else-is-wearing item.

L.A. is no exception to the rule. I found the sweetest boutique so close to my house that I could probably walk there (but this is L.A., so I, of course, drive!). It’s called Letters From L.A. in Eagle Rock and has a great eclectic stock from local designers. I got this gorgeous clutch, made by Samantha Grisdale who specializes in custom leather and jewelry. Her stuff has got an earthy vibe with a really sleek and simple yet unique perspective. Her stuff is so good she was recently mentioned in the New York Times!

So maybe she won’t be that local for very much longer. Better hurry and get her bags and belts while we still can afford them!

It’s great because it is created out of a sustainable, linen/canvas fabric, so neither my 4-year-old, 2-year-old, nor I can destroy it. It has handmade, red satin flowers with black stitch detailing, which I just love. I love perfecting my contouring skills on the regular, and believe me, I’ve tried many, many products in an attempt to achieve that perfectly sculpted face. I have to say, nothing does it quite like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit.

This contour kit is a collection of six shades of powder that make it possible to carve out those cheekbones and help change the appearance and shape of your nose. Hands down, my favorite shade is the banana powder. It works miracles to set your under-eye concealer while, at the same time, camouflaging the purple undertones in your dark circles. I also love the medium shade of contour. It can perfectly shadow under your lower lip, creating the illusion of a larger pout. By the way, did I mention how perfectly matte the contour powders are? To top it all off, Miss Anastasia even managed to make the perfect highlighter, which is also included in the kit and compliments the contour shades beautifully.

If you haven’t taken the plunge into the wonderful world of highlighting and contouring, this kit is the best way to get your feet wet. Oh, and don’t be afraid to make a mistake. Just remember that there’s nothing you can do that can’t be blended out!

As a busy working mom, I’m always on a mission to create the perfect mix of comfort, versatility and high-fashion polish. That combination keeps me feeling sexy and confident throughout my hectic day. When I can find a shoe that does the same, I am in heaven! The “Brooklyn” bootie from the Christian Dior Cruise 2015 show is my dream come true. This super sexy peep-toe shoe will get heavy traffic in both spring and fall for many seasons to come.
